Dog treats

Your dog will learn faster and it will be more entertaining for him if he receives a reward. Obedience schools will recommend you to give dog treats to your dog to encourage good behavior. If used properly, dog treats can be use to your advantage during puppy training. The crucial rule in dog training is to give your dog a dog treat as soon as he performs the wanted action. This is commonly called positive reinforcement. If the treat does not come instantly, your dog might not associate it with the wanted behavior. During the first training sessions, it is important to give a reward to your dog each time the action is performed. The dog treat should not be to big or to hard so that your dog can eat it easily and stay concentrated on you. Once your dog associate the command to getting a treat, you can start reducing the quantity of dog treats you are giving him and just give him one once in a while. If you give an excessive amount of dog treats to your dog and stop suddenly, he might not be willing to obey next time if there is nothing to gain from the exercise. Also keep in mind that dog treats is additional food and, if given in excess, they might make your dog overweight.
